Become a Ministry Partner!

We are always looking for new ministry partners to join us in hosting the meal at Cathedral in the Night.  Ministry partners can be congregations, civic organizations, and families.

Many ministry partners will sign up for a regular schedule or Sunday (4-6 times a year)

Email info@cathedralinthenight.org for more info and tips.  We know it can seem overwhelming to cook for 100, but we can offer hints and tips to make it manageable for your group, whatever the size.  More info below.

Pray

The power of prayer cannot be overestimated.

  • Please pray for Cathedral in the Night;

  • Please pray those experiencing poverty or who are unhoused who join us weekly for worship and a meal;

  • Please pray for those who no longer feel welcome in a traditional church setting because they have been hurt or betrayed by the church;

  • Please pray for the forgotten, those persons who feel alienated, marginalized and pushed the edges of society, and our brothers and sisters who are incarcerated;

  • Please pray for the pastoral leadership of Cathedral in the Night; and,

  • Please pray for our local, state and national leaders that they might be led to pass laws and policies which care for the poor and oppressed.

A Letter to Our Partners

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your interest in being one of the weekly ministry partners for Cathedral in the Night! We are looking forward to having you join us for worship and meal and appreciate your support for the ministry of Cathedral in the Night. Cathedral in the Night was founded to be a ministry of the local community and congregations. Thank you for making this dream possible.

Ministry partners provide a meal for 100 people (about 6-8 large catering trays of hot food).  Though we are grateful for the much needed gift of food, your biggest gift is yourself and the relationships you build at Cathedral.  When you think of times in your life when you made a big change - our guess it most of the time that change was facilitated through a relationship and not things.  Your presence is a huge gift and we know you will also be changed by your partnership with us.

Please contact us for more info about becoming a ministry partner - email us at info@cathedralinthenight.org

Thank you for your support and consideration! We hope that you will join us as a weekly ministry partner soon.

Peace,

Cathedral in the Night
